I did these illustrations for an anonymous short story written by a young person in the project Stories from Angered. It was about the police doing a search of their home.
When doing this I remembered a false memory I created once. As a kid, the police visited our home, and I remembered it as a hostile visit with visible weapons and angry faces. As an adult, my mum told me I wasn’t even at home when the police were there. My mind had created an image of what I supposed it was like when I heard about it. Putting me in the middle of it.That fantasized memory has mesmerized me since and also served as a blueprint for one of these illustrations.
