
Usually, the artist creating the Göteborg Film Festival poster is also engaged to create the short movie that introduces all screenings. But in 2023 the festival wanted to celebrate the city Gothenburg turning 400 years, so they (together with Göteborg & Co) invited everyone to pitch ideas connected to their image of the city.
I was contacted to create an image out of the Göteborg Film Festival dragon combined with iconic places from the city of Gothenburg. I also created ads and animation for the campaign.
When the people had submitted their pitches six of them were selected and I illustrated those pitches for the voting page. Then the people voted for the pitch they found most interesting. The winner was Fabiana, by Johanna St Michaels and Kristina Meiton.
